The cell cycle is divided into:

  1. Interphase is the period between divisions when nothing seems to be happening but actually DNA is begin duplicated.
  2. Nuclear Division is when the genetic material is divided and you can see chromosomes.
  3. Cytokinesis is "true" cell division because it divides the cytoplasm of mother cell into two daughter cells.
