An Introduction to Science and Evolution

"What is Science?"

It is important that we understand what we are talking about by making our definitions clear.
Dictionaries define science in various ways.
One dictionary defines science as, "the systematic knowledge as an object of study". That definition is applicable to most courses - science course and others. Most dictionaries go on to explain that science is the "knowledge covering general truths".
Notice the word "truth".

Here are two statements. Which one is true? (Click on the statement you believe to be true.)

  1. Scotsmen are tight with their money.

  2. Scotsmen are more likely to die of heart disease than Englishmen.
